Question: Trying to buy a new Car from A dealership need help to finance.?

I am trying to buy a new car, I have a old mazda pick up that is going for sale. And the buyer will pay me in janurary so i need a car by then. I havnt chosen what car i want. Its Either a Toyota Camry Hybrid
Honda Civic Hybrid or SI Sedan
Volkswagon Jetta
I am trying to finance one but i am 18 and only had a credit card for 4 months and its probably not enough im guessing. Its a Bank of America Credit card that maxes at 900.
I can give as a down payment 3,000.
My parents were saying you can either finance it thrue the car dealer or go to the bank and get a loan i dont know which would be bettter? or does anyobody recommend something else? Dont mention a co-signer i have tried and cant find anyone.Thx in ahead

Answer: I would try financing through a bank first or even a credit union or State Farm Insurance which can do financing. You will get a better rate through them than a dealer. Try through Bank of America first since you already have a card with them.

Compare rates and also consider buying slightly old instead of brand new and see if that changes anything.

Also- good job on selling your Mazda yourself. You will get more for it that way then as a trade-in.

Question: I am thinking of trading in my Golf Gti for an MG ZT 1.8T...any advice?

I am considering trading in my Golf GTi as it has a bit of work needing doing and I have seen a really nice MG ZT 1.8T 160+ 54 plate

see here http://finance.autoexposure.co.uk/details.cfm?Page=MainDescription&Account=AETA42395&VehicleID=AETV95210685

the dealer has offered me £3295 for my Golf and would let me have the MG for another £750 on top..with 4 months warranty..

I think it's a good deal... but what about the car? Any good? It look fab, nice colour and excellent condition etc... but how good are the MG's?? Any particular things I should be looking out for on this car??

Answer: For what it's worth I quite like the MG ZT, but not that one, and certainly not at that price. That one is the wheezy 1.8 turbo, the one to have is the 2.5V6 and sod the fuel consumption. And it looks like a horrible colour, but that's my opinion.
My main concern is the price. That car is worth maybe £3,000 tops, from a dealer, and far less as a trade in.
I'd fix the Golf!
