Question: If the UK needed bailing out, would the European Union be quick to act, as we are not in the 'Euro' currency?
I assume so, because Alastair Darling has accepted the demands of Europe for us to underwrite £10 billion of European debt, as of that highlighted by Greece:

Simple questions for a simple person
1) Can the UK afford to underwrite £10 billion of debt?
2) What would be the repercussions if UK refused to do this?
3) Is it right that Alastair Darling/Labour makes this decision, considering their imminent exit of office?
Answer: The EU is a disaster. So is the Euro. We should keep the Hell out of both. Germany and France will be dragged down by their own ambition. It is an ill thought out child, too Big to be handled within a democracy. That is why the whole thing is creeping slowly towards dictatorship. Why cant politicians ever admit to being wrong about anything? do they see themselves as gods, while we, the people, see them for the bloated ego fed clowns that they really are?
