Entry Level Finance Job

Question: How often is it that an employer doesn't reply to your resume? I'm trying for entry-level Finance Jobs.
I'm using the career website of my university. I don't get replies most of the time and I think it's because I have no internships or experience in finance and they think I'm unqualified. I have good grades but changed my major a few times. I tried to apply for Finance Internships in school but didn't get any. I'm not a business major but I'm in a related major.
How long should I wait until I should I just settle for a job in a different field? These companies are wealth management companies and the jobs are portfolio assistant jobs. I think I know what goes on in these jobs. Should I go back to school and take more math?
Answer: If you're not getting any "nibbles", it means you're using the wrong bait. Companies rarely respond to those applicants not making the cut. Take it as a sign and redirect your applications or get more credentials in the field you are pursuing.
