Question: Is CFA required for long-term success in a Real Estate Finance Career?

Answer: No. A become a CFA charterholder doesn't really equate to success in anything. If you had the talent beforehand, I don;t think earning the charter changes anything. All the charter demonstrates is that you are familiar with a body of knowledge. In fact, that body of knowledge is geared more towards security analysis and portfolio management than real estate investing.
