Business Finance Improvement

Question: What are my chances?

I am a junior right now. My sophomore GPA's were:
4.17 (1st semester) and 4.0 (2nd)
Junior year:
I got a 4.0 1st semester but am positive I can get a 4.4 2nd semester (and improvement is looked upon well).

I take my first SAT in March, and judging by practice tests, I say I will score around 2000-2200.

I played tennis freshman and sophomore years. I play chess competitively and am ranked in the top 50 in the country for my age and have received many awards, i.e 1st place in state in 8th grade.
I co-founded the chess club at my school in freshman year and was vice prez. I will do NHS next year. I have lots of volunteer hours.

I plan to major in business/economics or finance and would really like to go to a school like University of Chicago, UPenn, NYU, or UC Berkeley. I am thinking about applying early decision to either UPenn or Chicago. What are my chances of getting in (to any of the aforementioned colleges)?

Thanks a lot...

Answer: Collegs jump on the chance for early decision candidates. Go for it. You've got great creds, and if you don't get first choice, you'll definitely get into second or third no problem.

Question: What should I do to advance my career in business/finance?

I hold a bachelors in finance, but have huge difficulties to find a job in that industry or any kind of job for that matter. Currently I do not have a job at all due to the economy and would like to know what I could do in order to advance myself? I would like to go into banking if possible.

I am also thinking if I should just go back to school again and do accounting. Or is there something I could do in finance if I don't find a job at the moment in terms of education?

Answer: I'd walk into the banks you'd like to work at and drop off resumes. One can hold a position at a bank and continue education relatively easily.

Also, the accounting field is always in demand ~ no matter what the economy is doing
