Question: Im going to school for finance, I want to be a financial planner when I get out, how do I get to that position

I also want to start my own financial planning firm one day. What should I do to get there? What would be the best way and when should I start a firm after I have been in the business for 5 years?

Answer: Try any of the large life insurance companies. They will hire you right out of school with little or no earnings for the first few years, but they will train you. You could also try brokerage houses, banks, all of them are cross selling financial products. Good luck!
