Managing Personal Finance

Question: Can anyone recommend any books and/or strategies to help me learn more about how to manage my Personal Finance?
I am 25 and have been working for a few years. Can anyone recommend any books and/or strategies to help me learn more about how to manage my personal finances? I know the basic about 401k and my Roth IRA. Can you help me prioritize and also suggest some other investment opportunities I should consider beyond my 401k and Roth IRA? Thx!
Answer: The preeminent authority on Personal Finance is Dave Ramsey. He's on the radio everyday giving common sence advise on person finance. He talks with real people with real issues. He also has a couple books that are pretty good. Excellent website with tools and advice.

Question: Major in Finance, still practice any law after law school?
If you major in finance at your undergrad, then go to law school, would you be stuck in corporate law or tax law? Would you be able to do personal injury law or criminal law?
Answer: Your undergrad major will not in any way pigeon-hole you into practicing a particular type of law. In fact, a Finance Degree should really set you apart from a lot of law school students, and make you more competitive for law firms.
Should you decide to start your own law practice — regardless of what type of law you practice — a business degree will help you a lot.
Good luck!
