Question: If you signed an Auto Finance contract , and didn't drive the car off the lot, can you get off the contract?

I gave them a check which was set to go through within 30 days from now, but I canceled it. I didn't take the car off the lot because, I was trying to get insurance. Later on, I realized that it was out of my budget. So, I contacted the manager and told him I couldn't afford it, he said that it was fine, and that they would cancel the transaction. I am also, sending certified letters requesting that they put that in writing. Does any one have any links to Florida law that would help me on auto financing contracts? If so, I would appreciate it greatly.

Answer: You need alot of Faith right now cause here in Ct once that is signed U can't get out of that contract I know I'm in the same boat as you.Good Luck
