Question: Can you get a job in accounting with an Associates in Finance and 4yrs Military training in accounting?

I worked as a finance troop in the US Air Force for 4 years. I did majority of my enlistment at the Defense Finanace and Accounting Services- Japan location. I have loads of military training in the Accounting field but as you may or may not know doing it for the military sector is a little different than doing it for the civilian sector. To make a long story short, I'm going to school to get my BA in Accounting, I already have an Associates in Financial Management, I have this military training behind me but I'm no CPA. I really want to work in accounting now! How can I get my foot in the door? Or will I have to finish my BA first? Also if you know of anywhere in Cheyenne Wyoming I can start off... lead the way!

I think you already have your foot in the door! The fact that you have done so much already to pursue a career in accounting would put you at the top of my list!

I have been in the Accounting field for many years and wish I would have furthered my education.

Question: How can I get my military retirement pension information from the gov't quickly?

I need my direct deposit information from the VA and from the DFAS (Defense Finance And Accounting Service) and I really need it quickly, but the government bureaucracies move so slowly. In an age of instantaneous communication with anyone, anywhere in India, it takes me weeks to get information from the governmnet about my own pensions.

Answer: Call the office of the Veterans Affairs.
