Question: need advice on other potential career paths for an accounting & Finance Degree holder?
Hey all!
I am about to complete an accounting and Finance Degree, but I still do not like the idea of going into accounting. Yet, I can't seem to think of any other specific jobs or career paths with good future opportunities that I could take that doesn't require specialised knowledge. Eg to work in a museum or geology centre, you need qualifications.
I have realised that an important factor to me is the workplace surroundings. (Eg access to nature or something aesthetically beautiful, hence the above examples) It would be nice if this was taken into consideration.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Many thanks!
Answer: Even museums need someone to do the books. An accounting degree allows you to live anywhere, you can move to someplace you find pleasing. And there's a difference between being a staff accountant doing entries and being the guy telling the staff accountant what to do.

Question: Hardvard online MBA degree? how good is it?
Ok mso I'm trying to apply for really good MBA schools...I have a high GPA (3.8) from Penn state and a 765 on my MBA test....1 year of experience. I started looking at online MBA and i saw hardvard has one how cretited is that?
does it say ONLINE DEGREE or it just say Harvard degree of Finance?
pretty much I can't go to Massachusetts too far and I have a decent salary (46k anually)
so does anyone know how good is the online degree of hardvard?
Answer: Last time I checked, the Harvard Business School doesn't offer their MBA online. They do offer many of the classes but not the degree in entirety.
How good is it? Only about one of the best in the world. Can you get in with a 765 on your "MBA test" - probably not if you mean the GMAT. Might help to spell the name of the university correctly too.
The diploma (if it were from Harvard online) would most likely be from Harvard Extension School of Harvard University http://www.extension.harvard.edu/DistanceEd/
Note: Harvard's business school application tells us that a 755 GMAT is their min. requirement into the MBA - a 765 is likely not in the 10% of applicants that they take but I agree, with a 3.8 from Penn it will look better than my own application.
