Mortgage Finance Uk

Question: Has anyone heard of Norton Finance?
I live in the U.S and applied for a mortgage by Norton Finance in the UK have to pay the fee's via WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER to Mark S.
Norton House, Mansfield Road,
Rotherham, S60 2DR
United Kingdom
I don't know if this is quit common in the UK .Normally I send it to the company it self......
Answer: You are about to be SCAMMED.
"Norton Finance" is probably a 17 year old kid sitting in an internet cafe in Lagos, Nigeria. This is a typical "Advance Fee Scam". You pay them a fee in exchange for something in return. In this case, a mortgage. The problem, he has no intention of giving you the loan as he is just a Scam artist.
Don't send the money!
For your information, no legitimate mortgage lender in the UK would lend money in the US.

Question: What other course to take for Real Estate License?
Hi. I'm trying to obtain my real estate license as a Salesperson. I'm currently registered for Real Estate Principle and Real Estate Practice courses. However, I have to take an additional course but there is quite a few options. What would be a beneficial course?
List of additional coursesReal Estate Appraisal:
Property Management
Real Estate Finance
Real Estate Economics
Legal Aspects of Real Estate
Real Estate Office Administration
General Accounting
Business Law
Escrows
Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending
Computer Applications in Real Estate
Common Interest Developments
Answer: I suggest you take General Accounting and Real Estate Economics. Later down the road when you need to take more educational classes take Legal Aspects of Real Estate, Real Estate Finance, and Computer Applications in Real Estate.
Because you are new the general accounting class will come in handy when you are trying to figure your commission on each transaction as they are all different. You will know where you stand if it ever comes down to another agent trying to change the commission.
Real Estate Economics will give you leverage when dealing with selling agents who really know how to work the system (know the loopholes)and may take advantage of you being so new.
As a side note, work on the buyers side of the transaction really well so you learn how the process works. Te proceed to the sellers side and then to broker if you like later down the road.
