Question: Financial institutions serve various functions and roles.?

You are probably familiar with the services and functions of commercial banks and other depository institutions, but what about contractual savings organizations, securities firms and Finance Companies?Why do you think these institutions are important to the financial system? Why are insurance companies and pension funds necessary? How do investment companies and brokerage firms operate? What do you think would happen if there were no Finance Companies?

Answer: Finance Companies play an important role in lending - banks will not provide credit for everyone so individuals and businesses who fall outside bank criteria need somewhere to access credit....this is where Finance Companies come in. Without them many people would not get credit which would have a serve effect on the economy - it would shut down an entire section of society that rely on Finance Companies for credit. In a lot of ways they also provide competition for banks and other lending institutions.

Really everything is part of the whole system and taking something out will have flow on effects - just like in nature when you remove something it effects everything else in the chain. Therefore all these various financial institutions serve important roles. The system is complex and many of these area overlap each other. They are there because the system requires they be there - changing the system would change the things that make up that system.

Question: Help with work experience-Canada, Chile, Argentina, Brazil...?

Hi. I'm Peruvian and I am currently living in the US. I've been studying here since I was in 10 grade. Right now I'm in university pursuing my major in Int. Business w/ a concentration on Finance and Marketing. After I get my major, I'm gonna have to go back to Peru. I've been looking for places where I can get a paid internship but it is just so hard to find. I also would like to live in Canada, but some say it is simply impossible though I'm fluent with Spanish, English, and French and I took Intermediate Portuguese. I know I need to have at least one year experience to go anywhere and I am not sure if I'll be able to find a job in my home country. So what do you recommend me? Where should I look for paid internships or what countries could give me work experience and maybe allow me to stay for a longer time? My ultimate goal is to immigrate to some other country. I'd be grateful if someone can help me out by giving me some good ideas. Thanks.

Answer: As mentioned, Canada can be ur best bit. I have put the link to their immigration website, u can go through it. Apply for immigration if u think u are eligble for it and move to live there after ur studies.
